The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, God’s mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.  Lamentations 3:23-23

This week has many mixed focuses for us with Mother’s Day, Ascension Sunday/7th Sunday of Easter and for us at St Andrew’s Copper Sunday.

Phew! But how wonderful that we have so much to celebrate and appreciate!

Bearing in mind all these good things, and adding in all the worrisome things on our minds, this Sunday we focus on perseverance:
-the disciples had to persevere when Jesus had ascended to Heaven,
-mothers persevere when they are at their wit’s end with their family,
-our students must continue in their work and study when they feel like quitting altogether.
God perseveres with each of us  – even when we wander off the path.
But with God’s help we are able to get back on track loving the world we are part of, and building the Kingdom for all.
