“So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; see, everything has become new! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ, and has given us the ministry of reconciliation; that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting the message of reconciliation to us. Welcome and thank you to our interim moderator, the Rev Marianne Emig Carr, who is leading the service today. After a successful 20-year legal career at General Motors, Marianne felt a “not so gentle” nudge from God to revisit her calling to the ministry. She returned to school and graduated with a Master of Divinity from Knox College. She is now minister at the First Brockville and St. Paul’s Caintown Pastoral charge.
